How do you do a master reset on the MiFi 4510L

Resetting MiFi 4510L back to factory settings

• Make sure that the MiFi is turned on
• The device should not be connected with the wall charger/USB Cable
• Look for a paper clip or safety pin
• Now take the MiFi device in your hand
• Flip the MiFi device upside/down
• Remove the back cover
• Hold the MiFi in a position as you can read the name Novatel Wireless correctly
• Right below the arrow mark (2nd arrow on the battery) on the wall of the MiFi, look for a pin hole
• Insert the Paperclip into the pinhole
• Gently press and hold it down for 40 seconds
• While you press the reset button inside the pinhole,
• Keep an eye on the power button, as the LED blinks green one full blink and then a brief blink
• Take the Paperclip off after 40 seconds
• Wait for 10 seconds

That's it. The master reset has been successfully completed and the device has been reverted back to its factory settings.

What if I just want to change the network name and password? Would I have to do a hard reset or is it accessible through a menu somewhere?

Well.. resetting the MiFi device will force the default settings back on.
Will be posting the procedure for customising the Network Name and password. Please stay tuned.

Thank you,

I lost the preset settings and password from a label does not match!

I got a 620 jetpack but it's registered in someone else's name. Can a hard reset erase the previous owners acct.?
